Youngsters praised for efforts

YOUNG people in the borough volunteered their time to promote positive relationships in families.

A total of 14 teenagers from The Forge Short Stay School and Trinity High School used two weeks of their summer holidays to deliver a community fun week to five to nine-year-olds.

They designed, planned and prepared the project alongside Redditch Early Help workers to improve community links for young people as well as better relationships with family members.

Organiser Jonny Jones said: “The input has been brilliant and I hope the town of Redditch can recognise what good these young people are doing for our local community.

“As this is the first partnership project of its kind being run in Redditch between Redditch Early Help and My World , we hope it goes from strength to strength in the future.”
