REDDITCH United suffered penalty shootout heartache against Coleshill Town to exit the Birmingham Senior Cup at the second round stage.

After a goalless draw in regulation time, Alex Cameron and Callum Rowe saw their penalties saved as Coleshill scored all four of their spot kicks at Pack Meadow.

Chances were at a premium throughout as Reds goalkeeper Adam Harrison pushed an early effort over the crossbar.

And Harrison made another smart stop later in the half to deny the Northern Premier League Midlands side the opening goal.

The visitors improved after the break as Rowe’s low shot travelled inches wide of the post with neither side able to find a winner.

However, after Aram Soleman scored the opening penalty of the shootout, Cameron and Rowe both saw their efforts saved with Prince Henry the Reds other scorer from the spot.

Redditch are next in action at home to Rushall Olympic on Saturday, November 18 in the FA Trophy with kick-off at 3pm at the Valley Stadium.
