HOCKEY - Redditch Hockey Club shortlisted for multiple national awards

REDDITCH Hockey Club have been shortlisted for multiple England Hockey national awards.

The club enjoyed a hugely successful year on the pitch as three of their respective teams won promotion as champions.

And the club is on the shortlist for both the Emerging Club of the Year and Men’s 1st Team for the Men’s Team of the Year awards.

Redditch’s junior head coach, Becki Clarke, has also received an individual nomination and shortlisting for the Diversity and Inclusion Champion award.

The club also held its annual awards night as Josh Brown scooped the men’s first team player of the year award.

And Claire Humphries won the ladies first team players’ player of the year award while Jo Reaney took the ladies first team coaches’ player of the year award.




Ben McFarland claimed the men’s second team player of the year award while S Evans won the ladies second team player of the year award.

And E Ford won the men’s most improved player award with A Goodman the ladies most improved player.


Lastly, Ben Bryant took the clubman of the year award with H Kilkenny the junior clubman of the year.

The England Hockey awards take place on Saturday, May 18 at the Athena in Leicester.
