LLOYD Glasspool advanced to the quarter-finals of the men’s doubles at Wimbledon following a three-set victory on Court Three.
Redditch’s Glasspool and playing partner Julian Cash triumphed 6-3, 3-6, 7-5 against the Austrian-Czech pairing of Neil Oberleitner and Petr Nouza.
The duo continued the defence of their men’s doubles title as the third seeds overcame a second set dip to reach the last eight.
Glasspool and Cash converted two out of two break point opportunities and won an impressive 74 per cent of points on their second serve.
The third seeds will now face Croatia’s Mate Pavic and El Salvador’s Marcelo Arevalo in the quarter-finals.
Pavic and Arevalo, seeded sixth, reached the semi-finals of last year’s men’s doubles at Wimbledon which they entered as top seeds.
The pair won the French Open together in 2024.
Glasspool returns to the court with Cash on Wednesday, July 8 to face Pavic and Arevalo in the men’s doubles quarter-finals.
