ENGINEERS eased to the Redditch Skittles League title with a comfortable win against The Borough in the final game of the season.
The title winners had to beat The Borough and pick up three bonus leg points to retain the trophy.
Engineers won a close first leg by two pins before also narrowly taking legs two and three to secure the three bonus points required and lead by 13 pins.
The Borough responded to win leg four by two pins only for Engineers to score 68 pins in the final leg to retain the Redditch Skittles League title with a 325-312 victory.
For Engineers, Mark Ganderton (39), Andy Clewlow (36) and Ian Greenway (34) top scored with Steve Court (39), Andrew Taylor (36) and George and Scott Few (both 35) on form for The Borough.
Engineers finished one and a half points clear of Lodge Farmers in second with Bernie’s Bolts third, Jumbo Jet Set fourth, Nomads fifth, C and G Show sixth, The Borough seventh and Swingers eighth.
