SHIHAN Dave Treadwell coached the Great Britain team and also competed for Redditch-based Furi Sutairu Karate Federation at the 2024 European International Martial Arts Games.
FSK students Cleo McFarlane and Dean Cooke joined Treadwell at the prestigious Martial Arts Games in High Wycombe.
The event started with a briefing and check-in before the competition began with forms (kata) and then sparring (kumite).
McFarlane placed in all three of her categories, taking silver in Japanese kata, bronze in creative and bronze in Japanese weapons.
Cooke also won three medals, winning gold in creative kata, silver in Japanese kata and bronze in kumite weapons.
Shihan Treadwell claimed gold in the black belt section for weapon kata, synchronised team kata, the black belt section for Japanese kata and the black belt kumite.
He also won bronze in the black belt section for creative kata.
Shihan Treadwell and McFarlane head to Rhodes in Greece in October for the World Championships with Team England.
