REDDITCH Swimming Club achieved their highest-ever finish in the West Midlands Arena League.
Redditch finished fifth overall in the Premier Division after the final round in Sandwell despite missing some swimmers due to illness.
The club gradually improved across the three rounds of competition – taking six league points from the first meeting, seven from the second and eight from the third.
Redditch also secured 10 bonus points in round two to finish on a total of 31 points.
Repton finished top of the standings on 42 points with Blythe Barracudas second, City of Coventry third and Nuneaton and Bedworth in fourth.
Redditch SC’s team manager, Rachel Power said: “We are so proud of all of our swimmers. They truly demonstrated that swimming is also a team sport, competing with tenacity and the desire to support each other one hundred per cent.
“After a well-fought gala, they finished in fifth place, which secured them a fantastic fifth place overall across the West Midlands and beyond.”
