MILLIE Connolly-Heath scored a hat-trick as Redditch Borough Women reached the Division One Cup final with a 4-2 victory against local rivals Redditch United Women.
Connolly-Heath’s treble put Borough in command before Esther Lau-Mackaay scored from the penalty spot to seal the home side’s place in the final at Cherry Tree Walk.
United’s Marianna Redmond-Lyon scored two stunners in vain for the visitors who have now lost all three of their meetings with Borough this season.
Borough broke the deadlock when Connolly-Heath coolly found the bottom right corner from inside the six-yard box.
However, United equalised after winning the ball high up the pitch as Redmond-Lyon curled a superb first time effort over the Borough goalkeeper from the edge of the penalty area.
The home side reclaimed the lead in bizarre fashion as Connolly-Heath charged down the United goalkeeper’s attempted clearance and the ball trickled over the line.
Borough extended their lead after the break when the United goalkeeper spilt a floated free-kick into the box and Connolly-Heath pounced to complete her hat-trick.
And the home side won a penalty later in the half after Connolly-Heath drove into the box and drew a foul from the goalkeeper as she looked to take the ball around the United shot-stopper.
Lau-Mackaay stepped up and coolly placed a shot into the right corner of the goal to all but seal Borough’s place in the final.
United grabbed a consolation goal as Redmond-Lyon looped a stunning effort into the net via the underside of the crossbar from distance.
