REDDITCH United chairman David Faulkner wants to ‘strengthen civic pride’ in the town following the publication of the club’s social impact report.

The club revealed their social impact on the town at an event held at the Heart of Worcestershire College.

Redditch value their social impact at £3.9million which, according to chairman Faulkner, is a figure greater than that of former Premier League clubs Derby County and Swindon Town.

The club quantified their social value through a number of different metrics including workforce value (£3.2m), wellbeing value (£1.1m) and social value of youth participation (299k).

Faulkner said: “Redditch United aspires to be at the heart of the community, being a driving force for positive change.

“Through engagement, inclusivity and sporting success, we aim to enhance the quality of the town and strengthen civic pride.

“We believe a football club, working closely with its community, can become a powerful symbol of shared identity and hope.

“We know the challenges facing our community – rising living costs, mental health issues, youth disengagement and social isolation.

“Sport and purposeful engagement can help provide real solutions.”

The event also featured a talk from former Premier League footballer Clarke Carlisle.

Carlisle spoke about gambling addiction on behalf of Gordon Moody who are Redditch’s official charity partner for the 2025/26 season.

The club also highlighted the success of a number of other schemes in 2025.

Redditch boast a 100 per cent education achievement rate since 2016 with the club operating in 20 schools in seven different areas locally.

And the club have over 500 registered players from the men’s first team right down to the under-seven age group.

This includes 14 under-six to under-11 teams, 21 under-12 to under-16 teams and five teams aged 16-and-above.

And Redditch estimate that £68k has been saved from the reduction in youth obesity cases while generating £1.8m from volunteer hours.

The club have also put a focus on environmental and financial sustainability.

United generated 1.35 tonnes of recycling and plan to install solar panels at their Valley Stadium home in the future.

The club recently won the social impact in sustainability award at the West Midlands Sustainability Awards.

Redditch also revealed they received 2,842 entries for their design a kit competition with 2,532 votes submitted.
