REDDITCH United have signed Bromsgrove Sporting’s club-record appearance holder Aaron Roberts for the 2025/26 season.
Roberts had initially agreed to remain with Sporting for the upcoming campaign only to suddenly depart the Victoria Ground.
And the 32-year-old has now signed a deal with former rivals Redditch.
Reds boss, Mike Fowler said: “I’ve known Robbo for a long time and I’ve worked with him before. He is one of the best characters I have ever worked with.
“He is very passionate, he wants to win everything and that shows in everything he does on and off the pitch.
“Don’t have any doubts that he will display these values and attributes in whatever shirt he wears, he is one of the first names I would want in the trenches with me.
“He brings great experience to the spine of our team, tonnes of personality and adds versatility to our squad.
“He tops off a great weekend of signings for us as it all takes shape ahead of preseason.”
Roberts made a club-record 329 appearances for Sporting where he was vice-captain last season.
He played in Sporting’s first-ever game when the club reformed following the demise of Bromsgrove Rovers.
Redditch also recently confirmed the signings of Reece Flanagan and Alex Cameron.
