ALVECHURCH have completed the signing of former Solihull Moors captain Kyle Storer for the 2025/26 season.
Storer spent five seasons with Moors from January 2018 to January 2023 and captained the club for four of those campaigns.
He made 200 appearances for Solihull in the National League before departing to join Nuneaton Borough where he later became player-assistant manager and then manager.
The 38-year-old has made more than 700 appearances in a career spanning 20 seasons.
The midfielder began his career with Tamworth where he spent three seasons in the Conference National before signing for Hinckley United.
After just one season with Hinckley in the Conference North, Storer joined divisional rivals Nuneaton Town.
Storer moved on again ahead of the 2011/12 season, signing for Kidderminster Harriers in the Conference Premier.
He spent three-and-a-half seasons with Harriers who he helped reach the fourth round of the FA Cup and play-off semi-finals.
However, he departed Aggborough after making more than 150 appearances, which included a stint as captain, to join Wrexham in January 2015.
He spent just six months with the Welsh side before completing a move to National League rivals Cheltenham Town.
Storer helped the Robins win promotion to League Two in his first season with the club.
And he made 44 appearances across an 18-month period in League Two for Chelenham before joining Moors in January 2018.
The midfielder played a key role as Moors produced a great escape from relegation in his first season at Damson Park.
He was made captain ahead of the 2018/19 season and led the club to a second-place finish in the league in his first campaign as captain.
Storer led Moors out at London Stadium in the Promotion Final in 2021/22 as Solihull lost to Grimsby Town to miss out on a first-ever promotion to the Football League.
He eventually departed Moors to join Nuneaton but left the club after they withdrew from the league just two weeks after his appointment as manager.
Storer started the 2024/25 campaign at AFC Telford United before making the move to Kettering Town in February earlier this year.
