REDDITCH United slipped to their first pre-season defeat under new boss Mike Fowler as the Reds lost 3-1 at home against Sutton Coldfield Town.
A volley from Danny King drew the Reds level in the second half only for Step Four Sutton Coldfield to score a pair of late goals at the Valley Stadium.
Prior to the defeat, Redditch had secured five successive wins in pre-season.
The visitors broke the deadlock on 24 minutes when Joe Hull put through his own net.
However, the Reds equalised on 65 minutes as King volleyed home at the back post after a United player flicked on a corner from the right at the near post.
Sutton reclaimed the lead in style on 74 minutes as Ayo Lekuti smashed a shot into the top corner from 30-yards out.
And the visitors struck again moments later when Isai Marselia found the bottom corner.
Redditch finish their pre-season campaign against Anstey Nomads on Friday, August 1 with kick-off at 7.45pm at the Valley Stadium.
