SPORTING Club Inkberrow celebrated their first-ever win in the FA Cup with a 3-2 replay victory against neighbours Studley.
Inkberrow came from behind to claim a thrilling win as Leo Brown scored twice while Jackson Preece also found the net at the Beehive.
The victory means Inkberrow have reached the preliminary round of the FA Cup for the first time in the club’s history.
And Inkberrow will play Sporting Khalsa in the next round of the competition on Saturday, August 16.
Studley took the lead just before the quarter-hour mark when Will Moore put through his own net.
However, Inkberrow equalised before the break when Preece fired home from a corner to score his first goal for the club.
And Sporting completed the turnaround after the interval as Brown put the visitors ahead.
Brown doubled his tally later in the half only for Studley to halve the deficit five minutes from time.
However, Inkberrow held on to claim a historic first victory in the FA Cup.
That came after the two teams played out a 2-2 in the original fixture at Sands Road.
Inkberrow surrendered a two-goal lead after Tom Emblem scored the club’s first-ever FA Cup goal and Jay Higgins-Pugsley doubled the home side’s lead.
However, Studley responded when Dylan Parker found the net before substitute Zaki Kamali struck to force a replay.
Inkberrow went on to win the replay in what is only the club’s second FA Cup campaign.
