SPORTING Club Inkberrow saw their Step Four debut end in a 2-0 defeat against Melksham Town.
After a goalless first half, a brace from Jamal Lawrence condemned Sporting to defeat at the Meads of Melksham Community Football Stadium.
The result means Inkberrow sit 17th in the Southern League Division One South table.
Sporting Club Inkberrow are next in action against Swindon Supermarine on Tuesday, August 12 with kick-off at 7.45pm at Sands Road.
