ALEX Cameron came back to haunt his former club after scoring a brace as Redditch United battled to a 3-2 win away at Halesowen Town.
Cameron struck twice after the break to put the Reds in command at the Grove after Fabian Reynolds cancelled out Jason Cowley’s opener.
Cowley struck again for the Yeltz late on to set up a nervy finish but United held on to returning to winning ways.
The result means Redditch sit eighth in the Southern League Premier Central table.
Halesowen took the lead on 32 minutes when Cowley bundled in a corner from the left at the back post.
However, the Reds drew level on 56 minutes as substitute Reynolds saw his deflected effort loop into the bottom right corner.
And Redditch completed the turnaround five minutes later when Cameron turned home Reynolds’ cross from the left unmarked at the back post.
Cameron doubled his tally for the game on 72 minutes as he forced home another Reynolds cross to put the visitors in command.
Cowley reduced the deficit on 81 minutes when he headed Kyle Finn’s cross from the right into the net at the back post.
However, the Reds held firm to secure just a second away league win this season.
Redditch are next in action against Kettering Town on Saturday, October 18 with kick-off at 3pm at the Valley Stadium.
