SPORTING Club Inkberrow conceded a last-minute goal to suffer a cruel 2-1 defeat away at title challengers Frome Town.
A late goal from Jay Higgins-Pugsley looked to have rescued a point for the visitors at Berkley Road.
However, a last-minute strike from Archie Ferris earned Frome the points after David Duru put the home side ahead.
The result means Inkberrow sit 12th in the Southern League Division One South table.
After a goalless first period, Sporting almost broke the deadlock when Higgins-Pugsley’s shot from the edge of the penalty area struck the crossbar.
Frome took the lead on 63 minutes when Duru intercepted Jake Waterfield’s weak backwards header and found the net from seven-yards out.
Sporting equalised two minutes from time to stun the home side as Higgins-Pugsley scrambled the ball into the net after good work from Louis Crook.
However, Frome snatched the points at the death when Ferris struck following a counter attack with a fine effort across goal from wide on the left.
Sporting Club Inkberrow are next in action against Melksham Town on Saturday, December 13 with kick-off at 3pm at Sands Road.
