KYLE Storer believes Alvechurch’s victory against Quorn was ‘a long time coming’ after Church won in the league for the first time this year.
Callum Sullivan’s second-half goal earned a Church a first win since the turn of the year at Farley Way.
And Storer praised his side’s second-half performance after Alvechurch ended a five-game winless run in the league.
Church boss, Kyle Storer said: “It’s a massive win and it was the type of performance we needed.
“We had to survive at times in the first half and jig a few things around at half time.
“We dominated phases in the second half and we did the basics of football really well.
“I thought we deserved to win on the second-half showing.
“To a man they [the players] deserve that. They’ve worked hard over the last few weeks and it’s been a long time coming.”
Alvechurch are next in action against St Ives Town on Saturday, February 7 with kick-off at 3pm at Lye Meadow.
