ALCESTER RFC were left frustrated after both of the club’s scheduled opponents pulled out of weekend fixtures.
The club’s first team were due to play Old Laurentians in a Warwickshire Shield quarter-final clash.
However, Old Laurentians pulled out of the fixture just one day before the game.
Old Laurentians had previously confirmed the fixture would go ahead only to later pull out.
The game has now been called off on three separate occasions with Alcester to progress to the semi-finals.
Alcester will play Newbold-on-Avon RFC in the semi-finals of the Shield on Saturday, May 2.
The third team also saw their scheduled match against Hereford called off with the latter side unable to fulfill the fixture.
Alcester’s first team return to action against Manor Park on Saturday, April 11 with kick-off at 3pm.
