Redditch & South Warwickshire Combination eyes new teams for next season

Redditch Editorial 20th Apr, 2016 Updated: 18th Oct, 2016   0

THE REDDITCH & South Warwickshire Combination is welcoming new teams for the 2016/17 season and has greatly reduced the annual fees to a single all-inclusive payment as an incentive.

Numerous teams have left the Combination in recent times and at the end of this season founder members Black Horse will also cease their involvement and move to the neighbouring Bromsgrove & District Football League.

However, Ian Milne, who will resume his position as Combination league secretary at the end of May in place of Dave Thombs who is stepping down, believes new teams will be attracted to the Redditch league and can benefit from the new prices and initiatives.

New incentives include football pitch vacancies, all clubs to receive two match balls at the start of the season and bi-monthly awards for clubs on performances and disciplinary records.

Any sides introducing new teams to the league will also be rewarded and there will be a total of eight cup competitions to enjoy.

For more details about any of the above call Dave Thombs on 07729 609903 or e-mail [email protected].
