CONOR Smith and Anna Nicod bagged medals as Bromsgrove & Redditch Athletic Club runners impressed at Saturday’s Coventry Godiva Classic Open, which incorporated the Midland 3,000m Track Championships.
Nicod, 14, clocked 2:28.50 as she finished third to win a bronze medal in the U15 girls’ 800m, whilst Smith produced a superb kick finish to win gold in the U20 men’s 3,000m in a time of 9:45.50.
In the U20 women’s 3,000m equivalent, Laura Keyte recorded a time of 10:25.11 to finish fourth.
Also in action at the event, held on the Coventry Godiva Harriers track at the University of Warwick, was former B&R athlete Joe Smith who now represents Tipton Harriers and he finished fourth in the senior men’s 3,000m in 8:54.96.
