Redditch Cross reach BSA Cup last four

Redditch Editorial 21st Nov, 2016   0

REDDITCH CROSS moved into the semi-finals of the BSA Cup with a 5-2 victory over Shakespeare Studley and will now look forward to a last four date against SCC Redolence on a date to be confirmed.

Priddle and Higgins both bagged braces for Cross, whilst Bilson also netted for the victors. Benton struck twice for the Studley side.

In league action, Nathan Davies scored a hat-trick for CBH Fasteners and Sean Parish (2) and James Morrell were also on target in their 6-1 win at South Redditch, for whom Harry Farmer netted.

Lodge Park RA were 7-3 winners at AFC Lions and SCC Redolence enjoyed a 3-2 victory at SO Goose Greenlands thanks to a hat-trick from Tim Lees which got the better of strikes from Jack Darby and Matt McVerry for the home side.

Beoley Village beat VKL United 4-0 in a game which was fairly evenly contested in the first half.

However, once Florin Lupu opened the scoring from close range and VKL had seen a ‘goal’ disallowed, Beoley took charge and goals from Meek (2) and Rollins secured maximum points for the hosts.

Teague (2), Wilkes (2) and Styler were all on the mark to inspire Golden Cross AFC to a 5-1 victory at Studley Swan, whose goal was scored by Hughes.

Meanwhile, title favourites Austin Ex-Apprentices were in action in the Worcester Sunday Premier Cup but their match at Woodside was abandoned after an hour with Austin 1-0 down due to spectator issues.
