RICHARD FORD won Saturday’s Jubilee AC Open on the Withies pool at Bishampton with 44lb.
Pete Lewis was second with 12lb 11oz, Alan Neale was third with 10lb 4oz and the section winners were Doug Smith (10lb), Alan Gardner (7lb 14oz) and Glyn Blewett (5lb 8oz).
SUNDAY’S Needles AC Canal League fourth round contest at Dickens Heath had to finish two hours early because of heavy boat traffic, but Barry Blewett caught enough in the first two hours for a winning 1lb 12oz.
Second was Glyn Blewett with 1lb 9oz and third was Chris Cole with 11oz.
