Charity day on the horizon for Alcester RFC

Redditch Editorial 3rd Apr, 2018   0

ALCESTER return to action after a week’s Easter break with both the first and second teams travelling to Shipston on Saturday.

The hosts lie fourth in Midlands Three West (South) – one position above the Red & Blacks.

Alcester are also looking further ahead to the end of the season when they host their annual charity day on Saturday, May 5, starting at noon.

This year the event will be raising money for Help for Heroes and Charlotte and Craig Saving Hearts Foundation – a local charity which aims to raise money to install community public-access defibrillators.

The event will consist of a family touch tournament, an Alcester XV main game and a sevens tag tournament, welcoming players of all ages and abilities to take part in one of the sessions.

There will be a barbecue and bar until late with activities, stalls and live music. Alcester are still looking for volunteers and raffle prizes and if anybody is willing to help or donate then do not hesitate to get in contact. Email [email protected] or visit @AlcesterRFC on Twitter.
