TWENTY goals were scored in the three Redditch & South Warwickshire Combination matches which survived the weekend’s inclement weather.

SSS Lions beat home side Redditch United Cross 4-0 with two goals each from Nick Briggs and Jay Gifford to move up to third.

Lodge Park maintained their winning ways by beating visitors Studley Lions 7-3 in a match which featured an own goal from both sides. This win puts Lodge Park second, two points behind leaders CBH Fasteners.

Scorers for Lodge Park were Leon Kandekore (2), Owen Fisher (2), Tom Jinks and Terry Nolan, with Clay Dyson and Scott Buszko on the mark for Lions.

Matt Armond scored a hat-trick and Sam Fonyodi was also on the mark to inspire Astwood to a 4-2 success at SCC Redolence, for whom Anthony Bromhead bagged a brace. Astwood rose to tenth thanks to their three points.
