THE THRIVING basketball scene at St Bede’s Catholic Middle School was further boosted when the year seven boys’ team secured victory in the district competition.
The provision now available at the school, particularly with the use of the sportshall, has really seen the quality of basketball dramatically improve over recent years.
So far this year all of St Bede’s’ Key Stage 3 teams are reaping the rewards and in the latest event the standard was very high as the team produced their best basketball to win.
St Bede’s won all three of their group games convincingly – amazingly without conceding a point – as they adapted to playing in both the small gym and sportshall.
Birchensale awaited in the final In the final and St Bede’s maintained their momentum to win 14-0.
