MIDLANDS Hurricanes have announced that Assistant Coach Dave Scott will take charge of the club for a two-month interim period.
The announcement was made after Head Coach Richard Squires was handed a three-month ban from the sport for breaching RFL rules regarding betting.
Scotland international Scott is a key member of the Hurricanes squad and coaching team.
Scott will work alongside other key squad leaders to manage the team in Squires’ absence to ensure the club continue their positive start to the season.
Squires cannot return to the sport until Saturday, July 9 2022 with one month of the ban suspended until the end of 2023.
