ALCESTER RFC returned to winning ways in style with an 83-0 hammering of Pinley as the home side ran in 12 tries in a ruthless performance.

Max Biltcliffe, Josh O’Connor, Harry Wylie and man of the match Ieuan Hopkins all crossed twice with Jack Green, James Hibbard, Mark Burrell and Ollie Hopkins also touching down whilst Tom Burgess contributed 23 points from the kicking tee at Kings Coughton.

The result means Alcester remain top of the Counties 2 Midlands West (South) table, one point clear of Manor Park who sit second.

Despite the final scoreline, it took Alcester the best part of half an hour to score the first try when Biltcliffe dotted down from a catch and drive at a lineout,

And Alcester then blitzed their opponents with three tries in the final 10 minutes of the first half to secure a try bonus point and head into the break with a 26-point lead.

The home side continued to dominate in the second half and ran in several more tries until Hibbard’s score brought up half a century of points

And Alcester would go on to secure the biggest winning margin in the league so far this season as they scored 83 unanswered points in a perfect display from start to finish.

Alcester are next in action away at Rugby St Andrews on Saturday, November 12 at Hillmorton Grounds.
