A taste of Japan: Have you tried Edo in Redditch yet?

Redditch Editorial 18th Feb, 2022 Updated: 18th Feb, 2022   0

Now we’re all starting to venture outside our front doors once again, we highly recommend a visit Edo Japanese Restaurant right here in Redditch town centre.

Yes they’ve been a delivery favourite of mine for a while but there’s nothing quite like taking in the whole ambience by actually being in a restaurant is there?

Especially one like Edo where you can wear a kimono while you devour authentic Japanese cuisine! Now that’s what I call dining in style.

We all need some well deserved escapism. Plus you’ll feel like you’re transported to another country… without having to use your passport or decanter all of your much-loved potions into 100ml see through bottles!

Edo have created an amazing authentic Japanese restaurant with an impressive menu and they have even flown in authentic Japanese chefs from…. you guessed it, the beautiful land of the rising sun itself.

Oozing style and representing traditional Japanese culture, it’s definitely a new favourite hangout of mine.

Yes, there’s plenty of raw fish – of exceptional quality I might add – sushi, sashimi, maki and more, made from salmon, tiger prawns, tuna and octopus.

But there are also delicious dishes for Western palettes if you have a member of your party who isn’t into the raw fish thing.

I’m obsessed with the tempura with vegetables and king prawns. Their ramen soups are also a must! Delicious, filling and healthy too. Also make sure you try the chicken gyoza. They just melt in the mouth and are the best I’ve ever had.

Alongside their amazing Sushi they also offer traditional Japanese dishes like Eel, Temprauy & Ramen and if you are in a hurry they even do super speedy take out.

Their miso soup is also a firm favourite. In fact I’m a bit of a miso soup connoisseur so believe me when I tell you, Edo’s is amazingly fresh and I always think is the perfect starter for a Japanese meal. It kind of wakes up all your tastes buds for the delights ahead.

I also highly recommend their Salmon Sashimi and the Beef Steak Teppanyaki all washed down with their mango boba tea… seriously please try it!

I am hard pushed to speak as highly about anywhere I have visited lately and I seriously need to go back and try all the other delicacies on their menu I haven’t got round to sampling yet. There really is so much to choose from.

Plus make sure you choose one of their fabulous Kimonos to wear when you visit so you really can dine in authentic Japanese style!

Kanpai! That’s Japanese for cheers by the way. I’ll probably see you there soon!
