ALCESTER singer songwriter Euan Blackman releases his new single ‘Mug’ this Friday, November 26.
It’s his fourth single from the forthcoming debut EP ‘Grateful For The Moments Spent Alone’.
The track is a reflection on the complexity of online relationships, set to a dreamy folk lullaby that showcases Euan’s finger picking skills.
“I was definitely going for a Sufjan Stevens gentle kind of feeling with this track,” he said.
“It’s a deliberately low-key song, almost like a whisper. I love the absurdity of writing something quite chilled and putting the title ‘Mug’ on it.”
A product of the Liverpool Institute of Performing Arts, Euan has been supported by several BBC Introducing stations, many blogs
including Liverpool’s Bido Lito, and even his musical hero’s Benjamin Francis Leftwich (Dirty Hit) and Mike Shinoda (Linkin Park).
