AMV's anniversary concert set to be a sell-out at Worcester Cathedral

ALCESTER Male Voice Choir is celebrating its 45th anniversary with a special concert in a special venue – Worcester Cathedral.

The concert, on Saturday, May 11, will be on the theme of ‘Music for Everyone’ reflected in the programme put together by choir founder and Director of Music Judith Land BEM.

Songs will include This is the Moment, Land of Music, Ain’t Misbehavin’, Zum Sanctus, I’m Goin Up Yonder, Tell My Father, World in Union, Hey Jude, Fly me to the Moon, Beyond the Blue Horizon, Benedictus and many others.

The choir will be supported on stage by a host of talent, including principle accompanist Elliott Rooney. Christopher Allsop on organ, soprano Sara de Visser, Epsie Thompson on flute and Lizzie Parkes on guitar.




As well as holding a regular series of concerts locally in aid of various charities, the much travelled choir are used to appearing at prestigious venues and only last autumn sang at The Royal Albert Hall in London in the Festival of Male Voice Choirs,

Concert tickets have been released in two phases and due to popular demand the first phase sold out in just a few weeks. Phase two tickets priced at £18 are now on sale on 07752 563068 or 07886 139781.Return coach transport from Alcester, Redditch and Henley in Arden at just £8.50 is also available from the same numbers.
