THE MONKEES became a smash hit just weeks after the first episode of their TV comedy series aired in 1966 – and they remain one of the most influential acts in music to this day.
They were the first-ever “manufactured” Boy Band and they were put together by executives Bob Rafelson & Bert Schneider.
It was a lightning in a bottle moment as the band went on to sell millions of singles and albums starting with their debut hit, “Last Train to Clarkesville!
But while we all know their music, what really happened behind the scenes?
Well, now audiences can find out as all of The Monkees biggest hits will be performed live by a talented young band as our seasoned host helps to decipher the fantasy from the fiction.
