LOCAL group ‘Bromsgrove and Redditch Welcome Refugees’ (BRWR) is swinging into action with a fund-raising barn dance next month.
It’s on Saturday, November 4 and all funds will help refugees across Worcestershire and Europe.
The event follows their successful ‘Gimme Shelter’ concert in February and Fun Run in July.
John Cochrane of BRWR said: “Join us for an upbeat night of barn dancing and fund raising.
“The dance steps will be explained, so novices are welcome.
“Swing your partners, meet-up with friends, make new ones. Straw hats and check shirts are optional. We’re all set to raise the roof!”
Led by a professional caller, dances will be suitable for beginners and improvers, with music performed by live band The Whole Caboodle.
The evening includes a fish & chip supper or vegetarian alternative.
It’s all happening at Redditch Town Hall and tickets cost £15 and can be booked on BRWR’s website: brwr.uk
