NATIONAL treasure Basil Brush is set to join a host of TV stars in a spectacular performance of Beauty and The Beast at the Palace Theatre in Redditch on Saturday April 9.

Perfoming as the Beast’s sidekick, Basil will be joined on stage for the Easter pantomime by familiar face Keith Chegwin as King Cheggers and Anne Hegerty from ITV quiz show The Chase as the Echantress.

The pantomime follows the story of Belle who is forced to flee her provincial life when the evil echantress holds her village to ransom. It is then left up to King Cheggers, Village Idiot Wally, Dame Dolly Dolittle to save the day when Belle is taken captive by a terrifying Beast with a magical secret.

Panto favourites Lizzie Frances as Fairy Tale, Ryan Greaves as Wally, Eva McKenna as Belle, Ben Sherlock as the Beast, Sam Rabone as Dame Dolly Dolittle and Michael Windsor as Belle’s father will also take to the Palace Theatre’s stage.

The all singing, all-dancing, laugh a minute ride through pantoland is sure to keep all the family happy this Easter holiday.
