THE BIG voice of M People and solo sensation Heather Small will hit the stage for the first time at Birmingham’s Jam House tomorrow (Wednesday) as part of her UK tour.

The award-winning artist will hit all the right notes as she performs her dance hits, including the anthem Moving on Up.

Throughout her impressive career, multi-talented Heather has cemented herself as a global icon, selling millions of records world-wide, winning two Best British Dance Act Awards at the Brit Awards and a Mercury Music Prize for Elegant Slumming.

As the instantly recognisable voice of the M People, Heather has had groundbreaking hits including , One Night in Heaven, and Search for a Hero.

John Bunce, general manager at the Jam House, said: “We are ecstatic to have the incredible Heather Small grace our Birmingham stage for the first time.

“I have personally been a fan of hers for decades and been waiting for her tour to come Birmingham and of course the Jam House.

“I already know that this will go down as one of my favourite performances and am already counting down until the next time she tours these parts. This will be a performance to remember and definitely a show not to miss.”

Aside from her successful career with the M People, Heather has had tremendous success as solo artist.

Perhaps the most notable being the title track of her Proud album becoming the soundtrack of London’s 2012 Olympic Bid, the 60th Anniversary of VE Day in Trafalgar Square, the launch of The Queen Mary 2, the Tsunami Relief Concert, England’s victory at the Rugby World Cup celebrations, and the official ceremony which marked the handover of the Olympic Games from Beijing to London.
