REDDITCH music fans are in for a real treat when top folk duo Kathryn Roberts and Sean Lakeman make a return visit to The Bridge Church venue on Evesham Road.
Hailed as ‘folk music for the modern age’ the popular wife-and-husband duo have long established themselves as one of the UK music scene’s most rewarding and enduring partnerships.
They are twice winners of Acoustic Magazine’s ‘Best Duo’ award and BBC Radio2 Folk Awards winners in 2016 and 2013.
And to celebrate 25 years making music, the couple will revisit and reinterpret songs which span their career, from the early days of folk supergroup ‘ Equation’ through to the current release ‘Personae’, with a nod or two along the way to their extra curricular musical adventures.
Promoted by Live & Local and backed by Redditch Borough Council and Worcestershire County Council, their gig will be held next Saturday, February 1 at 7.30pm.
Tickets are £12 and include a glass of wine of fruit juice and nibbles at the interval.
