Blues and Beer at the Jinney Ring this weekend

THE JINNEY Ring Craft Centre, Hanbury Road, is hosting a Blues and Beer Festival between August 4 and August 6.

The festival will be opened with a bang by Big Joe Bone on the Friday evening who will entertain the crowds, along with the food and drink on offer.

He will perform a mix of Delta Blues, Bluegrass, Oldtime, Gospel and Hillbilly music and his set will be followed by an Open Mic night in the beer tent.

The following day (gates open at 1pm) the music will continue with six live bands until 11pm. The acts include, Will Wilde, Souled Out 2 Funk, The Della Grants, and Greg Coulson.

Sunday – the event’s ‘chill down day’ – will be a lot more relaxing as the curtain comes down on the weekend.

There will also be a restaurant and a barbecue if revellers get peckish. And for those wanting a tipple, the venue will also be stocked with the finest of local ales and ciders.

Although it has been requested that no picnics are brought, there are camping sites available for tents, caravans and motorhomes.

There is free parking and entry to the craft centre and dogs are also welcome.

For Saturday, the entry is £20.50 in advance or £23.50 on the gate.
