ASPIRING young dancers are encouraged to tap their way down to the Palace Theatre on Sunday (September 6) to dance their way to success.

Redditch youngsters aged between eight and 11 years-old are invited to audition for this year’s pantomime – Jack and the Beanstalk – in which successful candidates will share a stage with Vernie Bennett of Eternal fame and the X Factor’s Lloyd Daniels.

Would-be peformers must be no taller than 4’11, live within 30 minutes of the theatre and hold the equivalent standard of ISTD Grade one in Ballet, Tap and Modern to audition.

All successful applicants must be available for rehearsals from November 26 until the Grand Opening of the production on December 7 and throughout its run until January 3.

Registration will begin at 10am and all children must be accompained by an adult.

Parental consent forms may be obtained in advance to allow one adult to bring a group of children and individual forms will be available on the day but parents are advised to contact Jane Griffiths, dance co-ordinator, to receive a form prior to the audition.
