MAKE a date for Choirs at the Palace when four cracking Redditch ensembles take to the stage for an evening of fantastic songs.
Showcasing the talents of Redditch Rock Choir, the Bel Canto Singers, Arrow Vale Singers and Redditch Gospel Choir styles will cover evening from choral to spiritual and traditional folk songs to operetta, musical theatre and on to pop and rock.
Not only that but as all the choirs support local charities, the Palace will be donating ten per cent of net box office sales (up to £150) to each of the four choirs performing.
Rock Choir has been running in Redditch since September 2012 under the leadership of Christa Hugo and in that time has raised money for various charities.
It performs regularly at local events as well as at Wembley Stadium and Symphony Hall.
Arrow Vale Singers are a mixed voice choir of around 50 singers of all ages. The choir began 40 years ago when the West Mercia Police choir merged with a local group and ever since, the Arrow Vale Singers have performed numerous concerts and raised funds for many local and national charities.
The Bel Canto Singers were formed in June 1990 by Des Evans and since then have enjoyed a wealth of engagements across the Midlands. In 2004, John Clark became their musical director and has inspired them with his talent, ideas and enthusiasm.
Redditch Community Gospel Choir is locally formed and locally based and brings together a diverse group of the community who are inspired to sing. Their style is lively and embraces all music genres ranging from Jazz to Rock making for a fun, heart-warming experience.
