Double bill as Palace plays it for laughs

Redditch Editorial 15th Jun, 2015 Updated: 18th Oct, 2016

THE Palace Theatre in Redditch will be hosting a brace of comedy acts on June 26.

Tom Allen and Carly Smallman will be performing from 7.45pm onwards, both with very different takes on life and very different senses of humour.

Tom Allen, just back from supporting Sarah Millican’s UK tour, will be unveiling his new ‘Life/Style’ show.

With a wild imagination and a whole host of insecurities, Allen’s show is about looking on the bright side of life while maintaining a snobby arrogance.

But Allen isn’t the only comedian at The Palace that night – Carly Smallman, returning from her hit show at the Edinburgh Festival, has a whole host of new funny songs and stories.

Smallman has based her new show around the abuse she received online following her show on ITV. It will be a tongue-in-cheek performance about learning to love yourself regardless of what flaws you may have.

Tickets cost £10.75 each and the show is for 16s and over. For more details call 01527 61544 or visit www.palacetheatre.co.uk .
