IT MAY not be the House of Commons but the Palace Theatre will be home to a well known politician later this month.
Michael Portillo, whose many hats include journalist, broadcaster and former Member of Parliament, will grace the stage on October 19 at 7.15pm to tell the extraordinary story of his career.
Throughout In Life: A Game of Two Halves, Michael will reveal his ‘behind the scenes’ experiences over the years and offer audience members the opportunity to ask questions about his life and career.
Best known for his role in politics, Michael has now officially left that particular arena and has carved a name for himself in print with a weekly column in The Sunday Times and writes for The New Statesman as a theatre critic.
The former Deputy Conservative Party leader and Cabinet Minister is also a regular on BBC 1’s This Week and Radio 4’s The Moral Maze.
Tickets, priced at £16.75 and £14.75* (disc) are available online at www.redditchpalacetheatre.co.uk or via the
box office on 01527 65203.
