Gypsy jazz and more as 'heir to Grappelli' comes to Feckenham

A SUPERCHARGED pre-Christmas treat for music lovers come to Feckenham Village Hall this Sunday (December 11) in the form of The Tim Kliphuis Trio.

Award-winning Dutch violinist Tim Kliphuis and his Trio breathe new life into existing styles with a high-energy blend of classical, gypsy jazz and folk music.

Classically trained and widely regarded as Stéphane Grappelli’s heir, he is a highly personal and inspiring performer, composer and entertainer.

He has shared the stage with legends Frankie Gavin, Richard Galliano and Les Paul and has been lauded for his musical genius by Nigel Kennedy.




In this show Tim will recall his meetings and training with Stéphane Grapelli and the Trio will play an array of beautiful and exciting music both by Grapelli and inspired by him. The Trio have been said to combine dazzling perfection and complete musical freedom like no-one else in the world.

Tim is the foremost present day interpreter of Grapelli’s gypsy swing style that he developed with his Hot Club de France partner Django Reinhardt.

The show has been brought to Redditch’s rural outpost by Shindig – the county’s performing arts scheme – bringing Live Arts to YOUR Doorstep.
