COMEDIAN Joe Bor will introduce audiences at The Palace Theatre to his poshboy adventurer, Jasper Cromwell Jones next week.

Bor, who is a warm-up man for hit BBC shows The Graham Norton Show and Never Mind the Buzzcocks, is looking forward to performing ‘This Is Not A Holiday’ in Redditch for the first time on June 5.

He said: “It will be really fun. I enjoy playing the silly character and everyone loves to hate posh idiots.”

Jasper was first introduced to fans in a spoof of Touching the Void, the true story of two climbers and their perilous journey up Siula Grande in the Peruvian Andes.

To kick off the debut double-bill show, audiences meet Jasper and fellow comedian Jack Whitehall, who features on a filmed cameo, at the launch of Jasper’s book about his most ‘celebrated’ expedition.

Bor added: “There will be a bit of audience interaction and I like to think, something for everyone.”

The second half will see Jasper pop off to the Outback to be reunited with his real father.

“I get to wear shorts,” Bor added. “It’s a relief after the adventurers jacket in the first half. It gets really really hot. I lost a stone after wearing to peform in the 25 shows we did in Edinburgh.”

Jasper has since been optioned by Warner Bros. and the character is currently being developed for television whilst Bor himself will appear on BBC’s Mock The Week as warm-up throughout June and July.

Suitable for ages 16 years and over, tickets are available online at http://www.redditchpalacetheatre.co.uk priced at £10.75 or via the box office on 01527 65203.
