A FANTASTIC evening of music is promised when Phil Mountford brings acclaimed five-piece ensemble Fordante to Feckenham village hall next Sunday (April 9).
An award-winning film and TV composer, Phil won widespread acclaim when he premiered his ‘Suite for The Fallen Soldier’ in St John the Baptist Church in Feckenham last November.
Currently on an international tour, Fordante are stopping off on the outskirts of Redditch with a spectacular new concert “From Puccini to the Movies and more…” which contains some of the most beautiful light classics, opera arias and movie music ever written.
Featuring violin, cello, viola, oboe and keyboard their show will feature tunes from composers such as Strauss, Puccini and Ravel, including much loved classics like Bolero, The Sleeping Beauty Waltz, Orpheus in The Underworld (“The Can Can”), The Skater’s Waltz, Sailor’s Hornpipe, Humming Chorus, Roses of The South, Intermezzo from Cavalleria Rusticana and many more…
