A UNIQUE interpretation of classic songs backed by a thumping rock beat is in store when local band NotsoMerry play the Bramley Cottage a week on Saturday (January 28).

Featuring Ian Merry and Samuel Fannon on guitars and vocals, Curtis ‘C-Dawg’ Graham on bass and Luke Gage on percussion this largely acoustic outfit are already well known on the circuit with a loyal following of fans.

“We say our approach is unique as we completely re-arrangement popular songs, so for instance we turn ‘Sweet Dreams’ by the Eurythmics into a Parisian cafe style that gets rockier towards the end,” said Ian.

“We’re all big rock fans so a lot of our songs get a big, thumping rocking sound.”

The band are on stage between 8.30pm to 9pm for what is likely to be a two hour gig.
