Redditch dancers shine alongside Gareth Gates and Graham Cole

TWELVE students from The Latham School of Dance wowed the audiences when they performed in the Easter pantomime Robin Hood alongside Pop Idol star Gareth Gates last weekend.

With minimum rehearsal time, the girls were thoroughly professional and pulled off some really enjoyable performances across all three shows.

Not only that but they were unfazed playing alongside charting topping Gareth – who has sold more than 3.5 million discs – and that stalwart of stage and screen Graham Cole, who took the part of the Sheriff of Nottingham.

The Latham School of Dance, which is based in Matchborough centre has for more than 50 years offered both boys and girls dance classes to train aspiring performers in all aspects of theatre arts.

The emphasis is on fun but for those who want to go further the school has an enviable reputation in both exams and competitions with many pupils forging a career for themselves on the West End stage and beyond.

Classes are held in everything from ballet to street dancing and beginners and more experienced performers alike are welcome to join.
