Redditch's Abbey gets shipshape for 2017 with three new workout studios

Redditch Editorial 5th Jan, 2017   0

THREE brand new, state of the art workout studios are now completed and ready for visitors to use at the Abbey Stadium.

The Abbey Stadium now boasts a ‘HIT Studio’ – for more intense classes; a ‘Dance, Mind and Body’ (holistic) studio; and a newly improved Cycling Studio.

The studios, as part of a £300k development, each have mood lighting and equipment such as Les Mills ‘revolutionary’ Smart bars and 23 brand new Keiser M3I bikes.

As well as experiencing the new high-end bikes which have 24 geared resistance levels, gym users will also be able to enjoy Virtual Indoor Cycling (VRPM).

This means that it is possible to do a spin or RPM class at any time of the day to suit them with Les Mills fitness programs, all virtually.

The three studios will officially open next Saturday (January 14) at the Abbey Stadium’s next open day – Tryanuary – where visitors, both members and non-members, can see the new studios and try out classes for free.

The Tryanuary campaign is designed to encourage people to try a new sport or activity in January.

The open day will also see free swims (booking essential), gym challenges, smoothie tasting and more.
