THE rather talented IndigoCo return to the Kingfisher Shopping Centre this Friday, Saturday and Sunday – this time with the enigmatic and bloodthirsty Audrey II in the starring role.
This acclaimed and accomplished young company brings to life the classic Mencken Ashman musical comedy shocker Little Shop of Horrors into true energetic and exuberant Indigo style.
The company, veterans of the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, took the show there for a very successful run in 2014 and had always planned to bring it to their home town.
Having spent their first year at their new Kingfisher Shopping Centre Arts Lab, 2017 seemed the ideal year for Indigo arts to incorporate the cult musical in their pop-up productions.
With a cast of eight plus a four-piece live band, the charity’s take on the production is sure to pull in the crowds leaving the audience to utter the words ‘I forgot I was in Redditch!’.
The cast also includes Redditch favourites The Violettes’ all long-term members of IndigoCo and themselves Edinburgh Fringe veterans.
Little Shop of Horrors is in the IndigoCo pop-up theatre on Walford Walk opposite Muffin Break on tomorrow, July 28, July 29 and July 30.
Tickets at £8 (children £6.50) can be booked online at https://www.ticketsource.co.uk/indigoarts or pop into the po-up theatre and buy in person.
