FRIDAY night jazz comes to Alvechurch sports & social club when local ensemble Timeless featuring the vibrant Naomi Haworth takee to the stage.

Timeless are part of The Jazz Collective along with Bromsgrove-based stablemates Jazz Alchemy who have played some 80 gigs around the Midlands over the last 18 months.

“The Jazz Collective’s success is down to its focus on bringing a form of jazz that appeals to everyone,” said Winyates-based band leader and saxophonist Thomas Hinks.

“This is not high-brow or ultra modern jazz, nor fast and furious bebop solos, but rather is accessible, melodic interpretations of jazz favourites enjoyable by jazz lovers and the non-initiated alike. Expect dreamy ballads, groovy jazz-blues, hip-swinging Latin bossas, and of course lots of foot-tapping swing.”

The gig’s on Friday, October 2 and doors open at 8pm for an 8.30 start with a special opening cover price of just £2.
