What's on: Morton Stanley Festival and more as Bank Holiday looms

IT’S Morton Stanley Festival this weekend (August 19-20) Redditch’s very own free event in the 95 acre park organised by Redditch Borough Council and open to the whole community.

Starting at 1pm each day acts include main stage headliners Big Wolf Band, an upbeat Blues band with a powerhouse sound as well as a host of other top outfits, plus street food, fair and much more.

The Golden Goose, Matchborough is holding a Charity Fun day on Monday, August 28 in aid of bowel cancer there will be BBQ Disco Children’s Bouncy castle tombola and Bank holiday carvery at weekday prices.




The Fish at Wixford on Bank holiday Monday is featuring live music with Katie & Lee, a pig roast and fairground attractions. Dogs welcome.

Forge Mill Needle Museum is holding a Scarecrow Day on Sunday, August 27 from 11am to 4.30pm with scarecrow making children’s activities craft stall live band, vintage class music workshop, pony rides and more.


A great family day out

The Rose & Crown Feckenham is holding their 2017 Beer Festival over the Bank Holiday weekend Friday to Monday August 25-28 with live music and food served all day with 14 beers on hand

Studley Road Social Club is holding a Funday on Sunday, August 27 from 12 noon complete with a bouncy castle, face painting, hook a duck, raffle, tombola, barbecue, 360 messy play from 2pm and family disco at 6pm.
