A YOUNG Redditch musician is set to take centre stage as the Redditch Orchestra perform at the Artrix this weekend.
As part of the Bromsgrove Festival, the Last night of the Proms concert this Saturday, July 8, will feature the Redditch Orchestra with bassoon soloist Rebecca Eldridge.
From 7.30pm, works played will include favourites such as The Pirates of Penzance, Henry Wood’s Sea Songs and ‘Rule Britannia’, Elgar’s Pomp and Circumstance and Jerusalem.
Young Redditch bassoonist Rebecca, who began playing as a child in Redditch, will be the soloist in Mozart’s bassoon concerto.
Tickets for the concert cost £12, concessions £10 and are available from the Artrix box office.
